Hovland's Madness & Mastery in Mexico

We’ve known for some time now that Viktor Hovland is a special talent, but last week in Mexico was his most impressive outing on Tour without doubt. Before the tournament, his driver was broken by Danny Lee while dabbling in some speed training. He then hit a great approach on his 10th hole on Friday, only for a sprinkler head to send the ball flying out of bounds. But Hovland defied the golfing gods to become the first player to successfully defend a PGA Tour title since Brooks Koepka in 2019.

While Hovland overcame adversity for his win, Thomas Pieters capitalised on Matthieu Pavon’s back-nine struggles to win the Portugal Masters. Lucas Bjerregaard, who has struggled in recent years, produced a T2 to secure his card for 2022. A huge result for the Dane!

Hovland’s win came with a driver spec he’d not played before, but how? Well, finding a driver that complements your game is important at every level of golf. If you think it’s time for you to get fitted for some new clubs, you can click the button below now to book in with us.
