A Momentous Week for the Castle!
A momentous week for The Castle was witnessed last week with victories in both the Bonnyton Cup and Muirhead Trophy.
Bonnyton Cup - Friday 4th June
The Bonnyton Cup and the Captain & Vice-Captain Trophy were played for on a beautiful sunny day at Elderslie GC, with Club Captain Brian McLaughlin and Vice-Captain Stevie Scott, picking up both pieces of silverware.
Muirhead Trophy - Sunday 6th June
On a beautiful sunny day, a hard-fought match resulted in victory for Ranfurly Castle over our neighbours, Old Course Ranfurly. A winning margin of 7 points to 5 saw the Muirhead Trophy return to the Castle for the first time since 2017. This was the 55th playing of the Muirhead Trophy and every match was contested and played in the spirit with which it was intended and long may that spirit continue between our two fine clubs.
A great team performance from all concerned, which was deservedly celebrated well with a few sore heads the following day, I'm sure!
